  20. The problem happens on a handheld computer that is running a dBase 4 
  21. application that copies a text file out to the modem to dial and then 
  22. just runs kermit commands to try and do the file transfer.  The handheld 
  23. computer is not truely DOS although is "DOS like".  The handheld 
  24. manufacturer, Corvallis Micro Technology, AKA CMT, says that kermit on 
  25. the hanheld should be compatible with kermit version 2.29 and 2.32 and I 
  26. can get it to work with a Zoom fax modem with kermit lite version 3.14 
  27. running on the receiving PC setup in Kermit Server mode running a dBase 4 
  28. app running DOS 6.00.  I do this exact thing with other brand modems 
  29. using kermit 2.32 and 3.12 without any problem.  Hayes has been of little 
  30. help getting the Accura modems to work although some of the suggestions 
  31. such as turning the fax capability off using +FCLASS=0 have helped for 
  32. non Hayes modems, we have tried multiple modems and multiple cables so 
  33. that should not be the problem.
